Plain Concrete is Boring!
Installing pavers for your patio or walkway is a smart investment into the aesthetics of your home! A paver patio provides better drainage and a more pleasing look for your lawn. Decorative borders, fanned cobblestone, inlaid patterns/shapes, traditional brick look, circle kits, soldier/sailor courses — the possibilities for customization are endless!
Adding new designs, borders, inlays, and accents is also a great way to update an existing paver patio or walkway. Whether you want to install beautiful new hardscaping or spruce up an old patio, contact us for a design consultation.
Patio & Walkway Design – Construction
A paver patio is a perfect way to build an enjoyable outdoor space. They can withstand the wear and tear of sunlight, rain, and heavy foot traffic. Our patios are durable, drainage-friendly, and a beautiful addition to your property.
Paver & Stepping Stone Walkways
Installing a pathway provides a stable space for walking across your landscape. It not only helps with travel but with outdoor activities like gardening and entertaining. The look of stepping stones also is the perfect accent to a garden or landscape.
Ledge Rock Stone Steps
You can use them as steps on the landscape or for dividing areas of your lawn. Either way, ledge rock stone steps have a natural look that perfectly blends into the surrounding landscape.
Two Key Elements to Long Lasting Patios & Walkways:
Compaction – The patio surface itself is only the facade of a complete system. The structural integrity of this system is what is underneath and its preparation. Proper compaction of all materials underneath is crucial. To achieve this compaction we use a variety of equipment for different aggregate or soil types and compact in layers (lifts). This is something to consider when hiring a contractor for your project: Are they compacting all materials? Are they using the right equipment for compaction?
Drainage – This must be considered before the construction of any patio or walkway. Potential water anywhere around a patio or walkway should be addressed. A patio or walkway should never be completely level; they must have a slight pitch to direct stormwater off of the surface. If there are downspouts in the area, they should be buried and discharged elsewhere. The grading of the site is also a factor. The ground should be graded as needed to direct water flow.
